Creative Teen Meets is an online group therapy space for young people aged 11–17, designed to support emotional expression, connection, and wellbeing through creativity. Each session explores creative modalities like journaling, art, and songwriting, all guided by gentle therapeutic support. These groups are designed to be neuro-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming, offering a safe, inclusive space where teens can explore identity, build confidence, and connect with peers. Sessions are $45 and facilitated by Minna Ikonen, a master’s-qualified counsellor, ACT therapist, and mindfulness teacher.
Minna offers gentle, accessible Mindfulness Classes for Beginners—ideal for anyone curious about mindfulness or looking to build a regular practice. These sessions introduce simple, evidence-based techniques to support calm, focus, and emotional balance in everyday life. Participants will learn how to slow down, tune in, and respond more skillfully to stress and overwhelm. Whether you’re completely new to mindfulness or want to reconnect with the basics, these classes offer a warm and supportive space to begin.
Minna supports individuals experiencing exam stress and performance anxiety by helping them understand the body’s natural stress responses through the lens of polyvagal theory. She gently guides clients to recognise how the autonomic nervous system, particularly the fight, flight, or freeze responses, can impact focus, confidence, and performance. By integrating mindfulness, self-regulation techniques, and values-based strategies, Minna empowers clients to work with their nervous system rather than against it, transforming anxiety into clarity, presence, and purposeful action under pressure.
